Ship builder: I’d do what John Kerry did

The New Zealand ship builder who sold John Kerry his $7 million yacht, Isabel, defended the senior senator’s decision to moor his new high-seas plaything in Rhode Island, saying the maelstrom over whether he was trying to dodge Massachusetts taxes was “overblown.”

“If it were my boat, I’d do exactly what he did,” boasted John Clement, director of Friendship Yacht New Zealand .
