MBTA driver hailed for heroic halt

Four months after slamming the brakes on an Orange Line train to save a drunken woman sprawled on the tracks, MBTA operator Charice Lewis still can’t forget the terrifying scene.

“I still remember it like it was yesterday,” she said yesterday. “It’s still scary.”
